It's a Small World After All

hi!

Welcome to my blog! The creation of this blog is to provide an outlet for my new obsession with dollhouses and their tiny trappings. Since JB and Roo recently ganged up on me and forbid me from talking about any and all things small for an entire night, they have supported me in the making of this new blog to alleviate my constant need to tell them about my teeny ideas.

So far, I have been successful at building and upholstering a wee chair. So far, this is really all I've been successful at. I tried to build a kitchen set because the ones for sale would bankrupt me, (sadly, minis have rather large price tags) but FAILED miserably.
I have sketched out plans for my second kitchen set attempt, but my spirits are low and my ego fragile and I'm really not sure it's going to work out.

My first chair I made in a 1:12 scale... or so I thought... until I went to Swain's to pick of craft supplies and stuck my chair in a sample Melissa and Doug dollhouse and it looked way too big for the house. I know it's not a great idea to build furniture before I get the actual dollhouse but I just can't help myself!

This is that chair:

Hello wee chair and wee pillow!

I've been reading lots of other blogs on miniatures and have been so impressed with their creativity and skills at all things small.

Originally I began this blog on Xanga, where I had been a loyal blogger in the past, but all the blogs I read on minis are on blogspot and this interface is much easier for me to use.

More to come!
